The International π Day is celebrated annually on 14 March. The date was not chosen by accident - 3.14 in American notation means exactly 14 March, and it is also the most widely used approximation of the number π.
Interestingly, it is also the birthday of Albert Einstein and the eminent Polish mathematician Władysław Sierpiński.
Since 2020, by UNESCO proclamation, 14 March has been given the status of International Mathematics Day. The #OrtylPhotoLab team is also celebrating the Day of the Number π and to mark the occasion, we have printed a symbol of this holiday in the 3D Printing Laboratory!
