Although this holiday was established on Copernicus' birthday, today we proudly remember all our outstanding scientists who have contributed to the development of the world with their achievements over the centuries.
From the time of Copernicus, through Maria Skłodowska-Curie and Jan Szczepanik, to Stefan Banach, Poland has always been a centre of discovery and innovation. Thanks to the work and commitment of countless scientists, our country is an important place on the scientific map of the world.
Today we would like to thank all Polish scientists, researchers, doctoral students and students for their passion, commitment and contribution to the development of science at our universities and internationally.
May the Day of Polish Science be an opportunity for a joint celebration of all its achievements, inspiring future generations of scientists.
May the passion for discovering and learning about the world continue to make it a better place!
