There is no better news on a Monday than the news that our 1st year PhD student at the Doctoral School - Cracow University of Technology - Dominika Krok👩‍🔬, M.Sc. has been awarded the Pearls of Science programme funded by the Ministry of Education and Science 🤩.
The project entitled: ‘Initiating systems for 3D printing of hydrogels with controlled conductivity and mechanical properties’ was very highly rated, and was ranked 14th out of almost 100 projects that received funding in this edition of Pearls of Science🤩
⚗️W As part of the implementation of this proposal, new high-performance photoinitiating systems dedicated to radical and/or cationic polymerisation processes induced by light from the visible range will be developed. The new photoinitiating systems planned to be developed will mainly be based on ionic liquid structures and will be dedicated to bioprinting processes to obtain 3D hydrogel structures for biomedical applications. 🧫
We would also like to congratulate the scientific supervisor of the project, Prof. Joanna Ortyl 👏
Ortyl Photo Lab is proud of our colleague and we are already looking forward to showing off the results of this ambitious project in the future 📊🧪.
The project will be carried out at the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology, Tadeusz Kościuszko Krakow University of Technology 🏢.
