Our PhD students are developing new skills ⏩ this time in cooperation with the Faculty of Pharmacy of the Jagiellonian University Medical College🧪.
For several weeks, they learned how to carry out mutagenicity tests including the Ames test🧬.
The Ames test is a commonly used method that uses bacteria to test whether a chemical can cause mutations in the DNA of the test organism. It is a bioassay that is formally used to assess the mutagenic potential of chemical compounds🦠🦠
