๐Ÿ† Success of a scientist from Tadeusz Kosciuszko Cracow University of Technology's Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology - Ortyl Photo Lab member in the SONATINA 9 competition! ๐Ÿ”ฌ๐ŸŒ
The National Science Center has settled the ninth edition of the SONATINA competition - grants for employment in research units, conducting research and foreign internships were awarded to 50 young scientists.
Among this group was Dr. Myong Joon Oh from the Department of Chemical Engineering and Technology , who won PLN 1,007,610 for the project:
๐Ÿ’ก โ€œInvestigating the versatility of silatranization: molecular engineering of silatran coupling agents toward efficient surface modification of nanomaterials in diverse environments.โ€
The goal of the project is to develop a new generation of silatran coupling agents for surface functionalization of mineral nanofillers, which will find application in light-curing resins and 3D printing. The research will include the influence of the chemical structure of these compounds on the curing kinetics, network structure and mechanical properties of composite materials.
๐Ÿ“Œ SONATINA winners receive funding for, among other things:
๐Ÿ”น full-time employment for 24-36 months,
๐Ÿ”น conducting research, purchasing materials and equipment,
๐Ÿ”น an overseas internship of 3-6 months at a renowned research center.
Congratulations ! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ’™
